    Bachelor's degree or equivalent theological degree or Master's degree in Social Work with qualifications of experience clinical grief counseling required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the assessment and delivery of grief counseling needs and services to ensure timely and appropriate services are provided
  • Plan for Bereavement Program development, expansion and refinement through annual evaluation of services
  • Provide bereavement support to hospice personnel coping with work-related grief
  • Provide bereavement information and referral services to callers from the community
  • Participate in interdisciplinary group meetings
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent theological degree or Master's degree in Social Work with qualifications of experience clinical grief counseling
  • Understanding of grief response and experience with counseling individuals and/or groups in loss
  • Experience with death and dying
  • Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care
