Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, program development, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about educational equity and eager to contribute to our mission of empowering youth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Program Support: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of our STEAM and Literacy programs.
  • Community Outreach: Engage with parents, educators, and community members to promote our programs, gather feedback, and strengthen partnerships. This includes attending community meetings and assisting with volunteer coordination.
  • Administrative Tasks: Provide support in data entry, maintaining participant and donor databases, drafting correspondence, and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Marketing and Communications: Assist in developing content for our website, social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication materials to raise awareness about our initiatives and impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Education, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
  • A proactive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for educational equity and community empowerment.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The hourly range for this position is $17.50-$25.00.
