NC State Wellness and Recreation seeking an energetic and innovative leader to collaborate with Lead Facilitators in delivering transformative high and low course programs. Guide participants through experiential learning, empowering them to achieve goals in problem-solving, leadership, communication, teamwork, and more.
This is a temporary, seasonal, part-time position starting
May 5, 2025 and ending September 2, 2025. This position reports to the Coordinator, Outdoor Adventures.
Policy and Procedure Adherence: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and consistent enforcement of all team building/challenge course policies and procedures. Program Support: Provide effective assistance to the Lead Facilitator in the delivery of scheduled programs. Initiative and Element Delivery: Deliver engaging initiatives, activities, and low ropes elements to diverse groups. High Ropes and Zipline Facilitation: Safely and effectively facilitate high ropes course elements and zipline activities. Safety Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage safety aspects of the program and participants. Activity Adaptation: Develop and refine the ability to modify and adapt activities to effectively meet the unique needs of each group. Element Proficiency: Maintain a thorough understanding of the objectives, presentations, and safety considerations for each challenge course element. Program Development: Continuously expand a repertoire of games, activities, and initiatives to enhance program offerings. Post-Program Evaluation: Actively participate in post-program staff debriefs to analyze program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Apprentice Development: Assist in the training and development of Team Building Apprentices, fostering their growth and expertise.

Collaborative and Professional Interactions: Interact with participants, professional staff, and coworkers in a consistently professional, respectful and collaborative manner.

- Current ACCT Level 1 or Level 2 Certification.
- Demonstrated experience in challenge course facilitation.
