Learn more about VMD culture here: VMD Culture About the Mission You Will Join: The Department of State has entrusted VMD to perform internal and external-facing informational websites and web applications activities specifically for the Bureau of Consular Affairs. VMD's mission is to perform migration/decommissioning activities over legacy websites to support the modernization of its website governance, architecture, and design. Your Impact to the Mission: VMD has an exciting opportunity for you to join as a Software Architect working in our Arlington, VA office. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to: Leverage your passion to develop and maintain strong, functional, and efficient code across .NET platforms. Work on highly talented Agile team(s) within Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), to define architecture, design, build and implement solutions, and support development of public-facing web applications. Provide technical knowledge, analysis, and troubleshooting of database applications and their production environments. Consult with customer and external contract teams to meet program and release goals. Experience Needed to Be Successful: 5 (five) years of experience with design, development and testing web solutions, translate requirements into detailed technical designs; construct, test, maintain and support efficient, cost effective and reliable software through the full life cycle Core experience with C#, .NET, Core, JavaScript, CI/CD, Oracle, GitLab, Jenkins, Restful web services, Agile Scrum, PKI, Windows server and IIS. Understanding of React or Angular, SPA, USWDS, 508 Compliance, both security and development best practices Desired Qualifications and Experience: Experience with Azure, AWS or Mobile Basic Qualifiers: Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience or certifications Can Additional Years of Experience Substitute for Degree?
