Vaco is hiring for a Quality Manager opportunity in Vandalia OH. Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance and control processes at our manufacturing facility in Vandalia, Ohio. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, implementing quality control measures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems to ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.). Oversee inspection, testing, and auditing of materials, processes, and finished products to maintain high-quality standards. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action initiatives to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes. Manage and train the quality assurance team, including inspectors and technicians. Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive quality improvements. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies. Lead internal and external audits, including supplier audits, to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement. Analyze quality metrics and KPIs to identify trends and recommend corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality methodologies. Manage customer complaints and warranty claims, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality standards. Experience with root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and process improvement. Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS), statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (certification is a plus). Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco notes the salary range for the role as follows: 85,000-95,000/yr. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
