Your Role

This is a generational opportunity for a Strategist who brings a unique combination of strategic thinking, data intelligence, and value-driven innovation. Gensler is seeking afirst-of-its-kind Strategistto join the Design Technology Studio a dynamic and entrepreneurial role that will shape the future of our digital transformation journey. Thisstrategic relationship-builder will sit at the intersection of design, strategy, technology, and client experience, with a focus oncreating value for clients and growing our business.

As a Strategist, you will workinternally across Gensler's leadership and practice areas, andexternally with clients and industry partners, tocraft future-facing strategiesthat align with market demands, emerging technologies, and human-centered experiences. You'll help position Gensler as aleading voice in the evolving worlds of digital, experience, and design innovation- driven byrelationships, data, and business acumen.

This role isnot about hitting KPIs- it's aboutdriving impact, growing trusted relationships, and shaping new opportunities thatredefine client journeys and market engagement.

What You Will Do

Shape and Lead Gensler's Digital Market Strategy

  • Co-create and launcha market-facing sub-brand,Gensler.Digital, that extends Gensler's reputation into emerging markets, digital transformation advisory, and client experience innovation.

  • Drivemarket strategy developmentandposition Gensler as a leader in digital-enabled consulting, competing alongside leading strategy and design firms.

  • Buildnew client relationshipsandexpand Gensler's presenceinto technology-driven industries and client sectors undergoing transformation.

Design Client Journeys and Relationship Strategies

  • Lead client engagementsat the intersection of technology, design, and experience -co-creating valuealongside Gensler's top strategists and practice leaders.

  • Champion client goals internally, helping craft bespoke tools and data-driven solutions that respond to complex client challenges around space, people, and performance.

  • Foster long-termclient partnershipsby aligning solutions with evolving client needs, grounded indeep empathy and relationship intelligence.

Scale and Evolve Gensler's Digital Offerings

  • Expand existing digital design and technology solutionsacross Gensler studios, identifying opportunities for greater market penetration and profitability.

  • Collaborate tocreate new consulting and advisory offerings, including Digital Experience Design, Data-Intelligence tools, and AI-enabled services.

  • Explorenew business models, pricing strategies, and productized servicesthat align with value delivered, not just effort invested.

Drive Innovation and Market Expansion

  • Analyze and lead new market opportunities, backed by data-driven insights, that open doors tonew industries, client types, and geographies.

  • Support development ofnew IP, product design studios, and differentiated service models that help Gensler stay ahead of industry trends.

  • Partner with leadership toscale bold ideasfrom concept to market impact -bringing entrepreneurial thinking to a global design firm.

Your Qualifications

  • 10+ years of proven experience instrategy, client engagement, and relationship leadership- especially with senior executives and transformative projects.

  • Strong understanding ofdigital transformation, client journeys, and experience design- and how this drive business growth.

  • Experience inleading strategic initiatives, including market and service innovation, business model creation, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Exceptionalstorytelling, communication, and facilitation skills- able to inspire internal teams and external clients alike.

  • Bonus: Experience inconsulting, technology, design, or real estateindustries is a plus.

  • Strategic Thinker & Entrepreneur:You see patterns, opportunities, and connections others miss - and know how to turn them into action.

  • Relationship-Driven:You thrive on building deep, trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners - grounded in empathy, not transactions.

  • Digitally Fluent:You understand digital trends, emerging technologies, and the role of data in shaping experiences, spaces, and business value.

**The compensation range for this role in Los Angeles is estimated to be between $155k-$170k plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
