A Total Rewards Sr. Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing an organization's comprehensive compensation and benefits strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives by attracting, retaining, and motivating top talent through competitive pay structures, benefits packages, and recognition programs, while adhering to legal compliance and market trends; this includes managing aspects like salary administration, market analysis, benefit plan design, employee communication, and performance-based incentives. This leader will be responsible for the strategy of Total Rewards Communications plan that showcases our differentiated offerings and reinforce our brand as an employer of choice

Key responsibilities:



  • Develop, align, and implement a Total Rewards philosophy that guides the composition and benefits administration of Total Rewards programs and processes for North Coast Holdings, including all subsidiaries
  • Lead a talented team of Compensation and Benefits professionals to drive the strategic development, design, implementation, communication, maintenance, and compliance of all compensation and benefit programs to align with the company's Total Rewards philosophy and business objectives
  • Identify, develop and deliver strategic Total Rewards programs and short-term incentive programs that meet and anticipate the internal needs of the organization while monitoring external trends in the marketplace
  • Educate leaders, managers, and employees on the company's Total Rewards philosophy and administration practices.
  • Communicate all compensation and benefits programs, including the development/maintenance of base salary ranges and other compensation practices
  • Lead the Compensation Manager on the development and/or participate in area and industry compensation surveys or special compensation studies, including market-based pricing, to ensure the company's competitive position within the marketplace. Review and analyze findings, assess unique company needs and develop specific recommendations to management with respect to the compensation structure
  • Responsible for executive compensation administration, including executive benchmarking, salary increases, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, key metric tracking, executive severance, and other executive policies
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition team and Hiring Managers to create competitive offer packages
  • Perform compensation-related merger/acquisition/divestiture work as necessary - due diligence, retention, integration, etc.
  • Lead benefits and compensation-related projects and initiatives involving multiple stakeholders with significant strategic and financial impact
  • Utilize metrics and data to enable business leaders by identifying trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee engagement
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends, best practices and market movement to ensure North Coast Holdings offerings and practices are competitive and forward-looking
  • Partner with the marketing team to deliver a Total Rewards communications plan that showcases our differentiated offerings and reinforces our brand as employer of choice.
  • Develop effective ways to increase awareness and understanding of employee benefits and programs offered to increase participation.
  • Recommend and plan communications strategies, programs, or activities that address specific business or employee needs and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Assist in the design and writing of materials in various media, including web, social, email/newsletters, print (signage, posters, mailings, etc.) for a variety of audiences.
  • Work in collaboration with the entire marketing team.


Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred
  • Experience designing benefit plans, negotiating with brokers, etc.
  • Extensive experience in compensation and benefits management
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Proven ability to design and implement complex total rewards programs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Leadership experience with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder management


COMPENSATION: $148,000 - $175,000

Lewis Services regularly evaluates our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. Starting pay will be based on a candidate's experience, skills and education.
