Adjunct Instructor, Welding
EOC-ADJ-Welding F25

The Adjunct Instructor will report to the Associate Coordinator of Instructional Services and will be responsible for the following duties:

Description of Position: To conduct classes in theory and practice for shielding metal arc, pipe, aluminum, stainless steel, flux cored, MIG, TIG, and plasma arc cutting for AWS and NYS DOT certification.

Classes will be conducted in the evenings.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must possess an Associate's Degree or appropriate educational credits, certifications, or experience to enable satisfactory performance and instruction in the designated area of welding. Six years of professional experience in MIG, TIG, and ARC Welding; at least two years of teaching experience and/or four years supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Applicants will have experience working with the educationally and economically disadvantaged adult populations; Demonstrated knowledge of internet navigation, email access, and word processing skills; Certified OSHA trainer in 10-hour Construction training; and, AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
The hourly rate for this Evening Adjunct Faculty position is $44.00.
