PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Field Engineer I position is an entry-level role responsible for assisting in the preparation, adjustment, and implementation of basic engineering plans, designs, and calculations in alignment with established codes, standards, and specifications. This role ensures the accurate execution of routine field tasks, such as technical surveys and inspections, while contributing to the achievement of Worley's sustainability objectives. The Field Engineer I will work under close supervision, directly supporting project execution and ensuring compliance with all technical requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Assist in the preparation and adjustment of engineering plans, designs, plots, calculations, and bills of materials in line with established codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct routine technical surveys or inspections in the field and prepare detailed reports documenting findings and recommendations.
  • Support the review of completed tasks to verify that construction activities conform to the approved design specifications.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and team members to ensure project progress aligns with the overall goals and schedules.
  • Contribute to the preparation of documentation that supports project execution and sustainability goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while performing field engineering tasks.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates on work progress, challenges, and any deviations from the prescribed plans to supervisors.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to field engineering and design issues.
  • Assist in ensuring that engineering processes and tools are appropriately applied to achieve project outcomes and support sustainable practices.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET



  • University degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering field, or trade qualification with additional training and experience.
  • Basic understanding of field engineering principles and practices, with a foundation in academic preparation.
  • Familiarity with standard engineering codes, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Ability to understand and apply technical knowledge to routine field tasks.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey basic technical information to peers and supervisors.
  • Proficiency in using basic engineering tools and software relevant to the field of engineering.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and quality while adhering to prescribed procedures.
  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and environmental standards in all field operations.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively within a team and take direction from senior engineers and supervisors.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to learn and develop within a dynamic and evolving field engineering environment.
