Cognizant Technology Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled SAP ISU ABAP Technical Architect who will be catering to the North America customers and involves supporting proactive and reactive business opportunities such as managed services and transformation. The individual will be closely working with our onsite sales / delivery teams, and participate in solution discussions, and workshops.

Location: Bethpage, NY. Work from home - Hybrid.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Architect with experience in SAP ABAP Query, Reports and SAP ABAP Programming Basics. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Energy Supply & Trading and Utilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the design and implementation of SAP ABAP solutions to meet business requirements in the Energy Supply & Trading and Utilities domains.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of SAP ABAP Queries Reports and Programming Basics to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the development team to ensure high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with business customers to gather and analyze requirements translating them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure that all SAP ABAP solutions are aligned with industry best practices and organizational standards.
  • Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and alignment to standards.
  • Resolve technical issues related to SAP ABAP applications.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all SAP ABAP solutions and processes.
  • Deliver training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilization of SAP ABAP applications.
  • Stay updated with the latest SAP ABAP technologies and industry trends to continuously improve solutions.
  • Participate in project planning and management activities to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP ABAP solutions with other systems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP ABAP, including Query, Reports and Programming Basics.
  • Solid background in the Energy Supply & Trading and Utilities domains.
  • Show proficiency in developing and maintaining SAP ABAP solutions.
  • Display a commitment to staying updated with the latest SAP ABAP technologies.
  • Have experience in conducting code reviews and maintaining code quality.
  • Be capable of translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Possess the ability to resolve technical issues.
  • Have experience in providing training and support to end-users.
  • Show a track record of successful project planning and management.
  • Exhibit a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
Preferred Qualifications:

SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $159,000 - $215,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
