POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of assigned assets across shifts or all assets on one shift. Your primary goal is to drive business performance by reducing waste, improving output, and optimizing labor utilization. You'll lead continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce scrap, ultimately contributing to lower costs and improved profitability.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Has daily accountability for safety, quality and productivity results of assigned teams. Ensures teams meet manufacturing targets for safety, quality, and productivity (output, labor and waste) through execution of the daily cadence outlined as part of the Rockline Operating System.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership / direction for direct reports and team members on assigned lines/shifts to improve efficiencies, quality or implement corrective action plans for lines that are performing below minimum expectations.
  • Analyzes manufacturing data and recommends measures to improve equipment safety, product quality, production efficiencies, equipment performance and scrap rate for their assets. May manage nonconformance through investigation and CAPAs.
  • Coordinates staffing and overtime requirements to meet production needs.
  • Ensures that customer expectations are understood and met by all members of the asset team.
  • Ensures that all policies and procedures are understood and followed.
  • Optimizes shift transitions through consistent communication with direct reports and team members.
  • Selects, mentors and develops direct reports to improve performance and enhance development.
  • Coordinate or conduct training as required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)



  • Internal - High School or GED and 8 years of manufacturing or manufacturing support experience with 4 years of supervisory experience OR Associates degree and 4 years of manufacturing or manufacturing support experience OR Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering, supply chain, operations management or business and 2 years of manufacturing or manufacturing support experience and observed leadership competency.
  • External - BS, plus 2 years manufacturing experience or a HS diploma with 6 years of progressive manufacturing experience with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner. Strong verbal, written and analytical skills. Demonstrated Leadership skills.

  • Must be able to communicate face-to-face and over the phone
  • Occasional lifting to 35 lbs.
  • Constant standing and walking. Occasional to frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and reaching.
  • Work environment includes occasional noise >85db and hot and cold temperatures.
  • Requires ability to read, write, calculate and reason.
