Sr. Manager, Cost Control

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is looking for a Sr. Manager, Cost Control to lead cost management and pricing optimization. This role is responsible for reviewing costs, setting up, and maintaining pricing structures for company products. The position will collaborate with departments like Sales, Procurement, Product Management, Finance, and Production to ensure product pricing reflects accurate costs, market trends, and profitability targets.

• Conduct regular cost reviews of raw materials, manufacturing, labor, and other expenses. Identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain pricing structures for products, ensuring alignment with market trends and competitive positioning.
• Analyze product margins and profitability, recommending pricing adjustments to maximize returns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost data collection, pricing alignment, and strategy implementation.
• Evaluate supplier costs and drive negotiations to reduce expenses while maintaining quality.
• Manage pricing throughout the product lifecycle and implement process improvements for cost reviews and pricing workflows.
• Lead and mentor the cost control team, promoting continuous improvement and best practices in deal and pricing management.

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Engineering degree plus MBA preferred).

• 8+ years of experience in cost/pricing management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of cost structures, pricing models, and margin analysis.
• Proficiency in financial software systems (ERP, cost management tools, Microsoft Excel).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in the Computer/Server hardware industry is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in global supply chain cost optimization and pricing strategies.
• Ability to manage complex pricing models and large product portfolios.

$165,000 - $186,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
