PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This supply chain role manages finished goods, raw, packaging, and direct material inventories and provides least cost supply chain solutions while maximizing customer satisfaction. This role balances manufacturing and distribution efficiencies with working capital constraints and customer service requirements.

This role will backup and assist other Foam Material Planners, including but not limited to working directly with plant operations on production schedules, entering STOs (Stock Transport Orders), entering and adjusting plant specific SKU level forecasts; perform a variety of analyses and report generation relating to the management of Foam materials including slow moving and obsolete inventory (SMOI), blocked stock, inventory quality management (IQM), schedule attainment, and Foam weekly sales, production and inventory updates.

The Foam Material Planning Lead drives improvement in service KPI's through the identification, creation & alignment of valuable services within the material planning span of control. The role is responsible to look across material planning for impactful continuous improvement opportunities, as an enabler for generating enterprise value. This role is critical to delivering supply chain productivity initiatives and service improvement via the application of advanced analytics and project management principles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Live the Safety stand and adhere to all safety responsibilities
  • Inventory Management - adjust & optimize inventory strategies to align with Foam business goals & objectives.
  • Manufacturing - maintain close alignment with production resources and ensure smooth manufacturing planning and control through finish goods planning and procurement of packaging & direct materials
  • Supply chain liaison for operations and external suppliers in managing finished good and raw material inventories Responsible for coordinating activities and communications across the supply chain (materials management, logistics, customer solutions, data)
  • Monitor goods receipts not invoiced (GRNI's) and kick outs to ensure suppliers are paid promptly, root cause and take action to prevent future recurrences
  • Provide effective and timely information, thoughtful business insights/analytics and business performance evaluations to ensure the business meets their operations plan
  • Creates and maintains master data in SAP including material master, vendor master, info records and other key data
  • Participate in or lead business and kaizen teams for various product roll outs and/or productivity projects
  • Vertical Startup - core resource to aid in the identify, understand and solve loop that is innate for these types of startups The materials management lead is a strong team player, excellent communicator and provides a positive impact to our fun, dynamic and successful team


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

2-5 years' experience in a sourcing, procurement, supply chain, customer service, or materials management role preferred and/or APICS certification
