Carnegie Mellon University's Dietrich College is searching for a Research Associate to join their team. This is an exciting opportunityfor someone whothrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.

This role will work with TalkBank athttps://talkbank.org. TalkBank is the largest open-access database for the study of spoken language usage, development, and disorders. The language corpora in TalkBank have been contributed by hundreds of research projects from around the world.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Use of TalkBank editing and analysis software to prepare spoken language transcripts for inclusion in TalkBank

  • Curating and transcribing new contributions to the database

  • Identifies problems and obstacles to progress; develops strategies to solve problems.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 1-3 years of research related experience required

  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
