MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
As a successful Rail Material Handler, you will have:



  1. High School diploma or General Education Degree, or equivalent experience.
  2. Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
  3. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays


Role Overview:

This position is responsible to safely move freight, stock, and other materials by hand or using heavy equipment, drive vehicles or operate machinery to complete assignments, and assist workers safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include performing or scheduling repairs and preventive maintenance, sometimes at elevated platforms with heavy tools, loading and unloading railcars or trucks, inspecting incoming materials, and verifying receipts. You'll keep records of materials received, maintain and clean vehicles, machinery, and equipment, and recommend safety improvements. Ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, and other regulations is crucial, as is attending training. Travel is required, and you'll perform other duties as assigned.
