Sanitation Specialist

Your Opportunity as the Sanitation Specialist

You will be able to lead and contribute in meaningful ways at our new McCalla, AL facility, where we produce the well-known Uncrustables sandwiches. With support of the Quality Assurance Team, you will support the development, implementation, and administration of our plant's safety and environmental programs and policies in compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.

Location: McCalla, AL

Work Arrangements: 100% onsite

In this role you will:

• Support the company and site safety policies

• Oversee trending ATP outages and help identify hard to clean areas as well as recommending remedial actions

• Manage Sanitation Tool Inventory including research of new tool opportunities and tracking usage

• Oversee Sandwich Making and Bakery Sanitation Department schedules

• Identify improvement opportunities to reduce sanitation time and efficiencies in sanitations practices for equipment

• Facilitate sanitation related trainings and continuous learning programs for technicians across the site

• Facilitate training on sanitation practices including visual inspections, swabs, usage of sanitation equipment, and troubleshoots as needed

• Work with Ecolab for any outages regarding chemicals and cleaning practices

• Develop, update, and communicate any changes to the MSS

• Serve as the site's expert on all CIP systems

• Collaborate with external vendors to ensure proper usage of equipment like floor scrubbers, Ensure Touch Units, etc.

• Coach SanFLs and technicians on cGMP and sanitation best practices

• Manage the site's chemical inventory

• Create and updates SSOPs and SOPs as needed

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required

• Experience working in sanitation, quality, or realted field

• Experience working with cross functional teams across a manufacturing floor

• Decisive, proactive, and strategic in decision making

• Self-motivated, organized, and able to learn new skills/technologies quickly

• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that most effectively supports the organization

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

• Prior forklift experience/certification
