The Applications Tissue & Towel Team Leader is a player-coach role that emphasizes guiding and empowering a team focused on technical service, business growth, and the introduction of new technologies. This individual will inspire and lead a team of engineers and project managers specializing in Tissue & Towel products and market segments. With a deep understanding of product applications, the Team Leader will support resource management, mentor team members, and champion initiatives to bring innovative technologies to market while fostering geographic expansion. Key responsibilities include providing customer support, validating new products, training field sales teams, developing technical expertise, and troubleshooting.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate and Inspire: Work alongside Product Managers to develop strategies and business plans aimed at driving new technology adoption and achieving revenue targets with empathy and insight.

  • Support and Grow Relationships: Nurture relationships with existing customers while identifying and creating new opportunities by guiding teams to address application challenges for both core and new product launches.

  • Foster Innovation: Stay ahead of market trends, develop ROI calculators, and secure necessary resources for successful validation of new products, all while maintaining a focus on customer needs and growth potential.

  • Mentorship & Development: Lead and mentor team members with a nurturing approach, supporting their skill development and preparing them for future opportunities and growth within the team.

  • Empower and Educate: Lead the technology transfer process with patience, training sales teams, presenting to customers, and sharing valuable technical data to enhance understanding and ensure market safety.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science and/or Engineering preferred, or equivalent years of relevant experience.

What You'll Bring:

  • 15+ years of industry experience with a strong foundation in leading teams, managing resources, and executing projects with compassion and understanding.

  • A deep understanding of value sales, new product introductions, and how to drive growth within the Tissue & Towel market while staying attuned to the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

  • A proven ability to build trusting relationships, influence stakeholders with empathy, and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including R&D and Corporate Accounts.

  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to listen attentively, present effectively, and resolve conflicts with care and understanding.

  • In-depth knowledge of chemical/product program administration, always maintaining a focus on optimizing operations with safety at the forefront.

  • A passion for marketing innovation, ensuring that safety standards are upheld in every project, with a strong focus on delivering both excellence and care.

  • A genuine commitment to customer service, with a proven ability to balance work demands while achieving growth and fostering a supportive work environment.

Sub-Market Specialty Experience

  • A deep, empathetic understanding of the Tissue & Towel market.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel is expected to be 50% or more, depending on the assignment, with a focus on flexibility and work-life balance.

General Work Environment

  • Travel to customer industrial sites, both indoors and outdoors, in varying temperature extremes. The ability to stand for long periods and climb stairs is required. Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude are helpful. Safety equipment (hardhat, glasses, hearing protection, boots, gloves, H2S monitor) is required.

  • Frequent automobile and air travel; proximity to a national airport is preferred. Non-travel time will be remote from the home office.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $139,700.00 and $195,615.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
