Job Title: End User Technology Lead

Location: Skokie, IL, US

This position is responsible for overseeing the end user computing environment and ensuring that all end user devices and systems are operating efficiently and effectively. This position directs the operation, maintenance, and ongoing evolution of End User Technology capabilities in delivering best-in-class service for the company. The End User Technology Lead works in partnership with other service leads to understand areas of opportunity, evaluate solutions, define technology direction, and works directly with Tenneco's outsourced service provider on operational performance and service delivery. The position may be based in Skokie, IL and reports directly to the Executive Director, Workplace Services of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities




  • Manages the end user computing team by providing guidance, support, and business context for operational decision-making.



  • Is accountable for the daily operation of technologies and services supporting ~35,000 endpoints in manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, engineering centers, and corporate offices.



  • Defines process and standards for technologies and services and ensures compliance with organizational policies and best practices.



  • Establishes and monitors metrics, key performance indicators and service levels to ensure the performance of IT service delivery.



  • Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained.



  • Oversees the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of end user devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and peripherals.



  • Ensures that end user support services are delivered in a timely and effective manner, meeting the needs of the organization.



  • Manages company assets and proprietary data with appropriate level of care and confidentiality.



  • Collaborates with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of end user computing systems with other IT infrastructure.



  • Manages relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring that end user computing services are delivered in accordance with contractual agreements.



  • Works with hardware equipment suppliers to manage equipment standards and lifecycle.



  • Stays current with industry trends and best practices in end user computing and applies this knowledge to improve the organization's end user computing environment.



  • Participates in IT cross-functional processes and best practices (e.g., ITIL) as related to the needs of IT and the business.





Minimum Requirements

Education:




  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. MBA or other advance degree is a plus.



  • Relevant certifications (Apple Certified IT Professional, CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSE, ITIL and similar) a plus




Experience:




  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing end user technology teams.



  • Experience working with outsourced or managed services, managing budgets and financials, and managing vendor relationships with hardware and software suppliers.



  • Experience implementing and managing modern endpoint management and zero-touch deployments for Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android.



  • Experience working in a geographically diverse, global organization with 30,000+ endpoints.





Skills:




  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills to manage strategy, deployment of technology and day to day operations with IT groups globally, with demonstrated experience leading multi-regional or global initiatives.



  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.



  • Able to work up, down, and across a large organization; connects at all levels, i.e., operations, management, executives.



  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and handle multiple priorities.



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive fact-based decision making.



  • Strong financial and analytical skills.



  • Proficiency in configuring and managing MECM, Intune, Apple Business Manager, JAMF, and/or similar endpoint management components.



  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and MacOS, iOS and Android operating systems and the hardware they run on.



  • Familiarity with Software and Hardware Asset Management tools and processes.



  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.






Work Environment:




  • Travel may be required depending on the organization's requirements.



  • Work may require occasional on-call support or flexible schedule to handle critical incidents.



  • Requires interaction with various internal teams, cross functional teams and external vendors or service providers.





Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $120,000 - $150,000. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
