Description

Essential Job Functions

• Demonstrates SoundOff Signal's Core Values in daily interactions with all customers and co-workers.
• Assist with building and maintaining corporate network and systems.
• Responsible for configuration, maintenance, monitoring and optimization of network switches, computer systems, servers, virtual systems, and backup/DR/replication.
• Evaluate and recommend new software and testing of software upgrades.

Other Job Functions

• Assist with maintaining network, system and account security.
• Helps maintain company network and usage policies.
• Assess, design, build and maintain corporate backup strategy.
• Identify and resolve systems and software problems, assess impact and prioritization of issues (Tier 3 support role).
• Communicate and document system changes

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Initiative-taking.
• Advanced knowledge of IT systems (cloud and on-prem), computer systems, and networking concepts.
• Proficient with virtualization technologies such as VMware vCenter server and vSphere 6.5+.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools.
• Ability to assess, communicate, and effectively develop IT best practices, including but not limited to security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery.
• Ability to communicate and report incidents, issues, and status with staff.
• Collaborate with team members for project planning and daily operations.

Physical/Mental/Sensory

Requirements

• Able to lift to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand and sit for various lengths of time.
• Able to bend/twist and reach a limited amount of time.

Working Conditions

• Mostly office environment including:
• Light Manufacturing Environment
• Little to Medium noise level
• Moderate temperature ranges

Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, and Certification)

• Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Must have 2+ years' experience in a system or network engineering role.
• Proven record of accomplishment of developing IT strategy and plans.
• Previous experience with Windows Server 2019+, M365, HPE/Aruba preferred.
