The Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business

Job Description

The Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business seeks a graphic designer to assist in promoting and advancing the Trulaske College of Business through visual communications and marketing initiatives. The graphic designer will be responsible for design and layout for all communication channels, so a deep understanding of digital, print, events, social, publication, advertising, multi-media integration, merchandise, presentations and email marketing are critical. This position requires a motivated, self-starter who is enthusiastic about collaboration with the broader marketing team, providing solutions and ideas for amplifying key messages and compelling communications.

This position reports to the director of marketing and communications for the Trulaske College of Business, and works closely with college leadership, faculty and staff, as well as with colleagues across the Mizzou campus.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM

40 hours a week

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

* Creating graphics on all social channels and the website.
* Understanding design that effectively promotes specific events, stories, messages and initiatives while maintaining brand standards.
* Working knowledge of social specifications.
* The ability to shoot photography and videography, as well as edit for posts and reels as a plus.
* Collaborating with copywriters to ensure communications are compelling, direct and the CTA is clear.
* Collaborating with college, campus and industry partners to ensure maximum outcome for the efforts of the marketing and communications team.
* Working knowledge of email marketing, providing graphics that support the messages deployed to multiple audiences.
* Understanding of the principles of design and how they are effectively applied.
* Animation experience is a plus.
* Proficiency in the Adobe Creative suite and Figma.
* Serving as a trusted and valuable team member, ready to lend support as needed to ensure the job is done well and in a timely fashion.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $23.00 - $25.00 an hour

Grade: GGS 08
