The Ultra manufacturing function is responsible for the manufacture, integration and test of a wide range of products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our customers.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts to achieve production goals.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective process improvements, including automation, tooling upgrades, and workflow optimizations.
  • Conduct time and motion studies, process flow analysis, and capacity planning to maximize efficiency and throughput.
  • Learn and apply Manufacturing methods, manage tooling and equipment needs with Lean Manufacturing mindset.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, quality engineers, and production managers, to ensure seamless integration of processes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and achieve production targets.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot process failures, quality problems, and equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain production documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Skills:

  • Pursuing a college degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to learn and understand technical data and specifications
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to execute impromptu speeches/presentations in a captivating way.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills a must.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and an aptitude for learning new software packages.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn and a positive attitude towards problem-solving.
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience with 3D printing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs for short periods of time.

Expected Compensation: The expected compensation for this role is $20.00 hourly. Please note, this is the expected compensation however, Ultra Maritime considers many factors in determining compensation prior to office, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
