JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The J. Jeffrey and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School at Penn State is seeking to hire a creative self-starter to join their team as a Marketing and Communications Specialist.

In this role, you would be an integral member of a team charged with elevating the visibility of the Fox Graduate School, highlighting the impact of the graduate education community, and providing marketing and communications support to units within the Fox Graduate School.

Responsibilities: As a Marketing and Communications Specialist, you will perform the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and publish social media content focused on storytelling and highlighting the accomplishments and impact of the graduate student community, which comprises more than 13,000 graduate students at multiple campuses in more than 200 programs.
  • Develop written content for a variety of media, including marketing and informational emails, webpages, flyers, brochures, news stories, reports, and more.
  • Assist with the promotion and coverage of major Fox Graduate School events, including Commencement, Graduate Exhibition, Three Minute Thesis, and more.
  • Support the implementation of Marketing Cloud and Salesforce in the Fox Graduate School through the creation, testing, and distribution of campaign emails.
  • Help to maintain the Fox Graduate School's website.

Education and Experience: This position will be filled at the Intermediate Professional or the Advanced Professional level depending on the candidate's qualifications.The minimum qualifications are a Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional experience is required for higher level positions.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • Experience with planning, implementing, and measuring social media campaigns.
  • Experience with writing content for a variety of media.
  • Must be creative, personable, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities independently

Work Arrangement: This position is based on-site on the University Park campus, with some flexibility for hybrid work arrangements. The position is not eligible for full-time remote work.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$46,400.00 - $74,000.00
