Job Brief As a Plumber Apprentice, you will work with a licensed plumber to gain hands on experience with all duties connected with the installation, maintenance, and repair of all piping and plumbing facilities throughout the Simsbury, CT plant. *Starting pay is $34.32 an hour* Schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with expected overtime Who We Are Dyno Nobel is a global leader in the commercial explosives industry. What You'll Do As a Plumber Apprentice, you will work with a licensed plumber to gain hands on experience with all duties connected with the installation, maintenance, and repair of all piping and plumbing facilities throughout the Simsbury, CT plant. Duties may include: Installs or repairs piping for waste, sewage and vents; hot and cold water for domestic and steam systems for heating and process. Working on assembling compressed air and hydraulic systems for production equipment. Maintain fire protection equipment and systems (i.e. fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, etc.). Perform routine repair and maintenance on the plant boiler, including collecting and maintaining data logs on steam plant operation Other duties include sheet lead and solder work and maintaining chemical levels in plant boilers. What We're Looking For: 4 years of Technical schooling in the Plumbing discipline; Or High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of Technical schooling in the Plumbing discipline to be considered for this position.
