Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
  • Develop the Final Inspection Record (FIR), Vehicle Control Test, and First Production Vehicle Inspection (FPVI) documents for vehicle acceptance.
  • Manage changes to the FIR thru the Interim FIR Change Notice (IFCN) process.
  • Interface with the Customer, Engineering, Program Management, Contracts, and the Assembly plant on the development and validation of these documents.
  • Validate FIR documents at the assembly plant as needed.
  • Review Product Development Fabrications Specifications (PDFS) Section 3 Requirements and write section 4 Test Methods.
  • Review Design Changes for quality impacts to the FIR.
  • Interface with Quality Vehicle Systems (QVS) to transition the prototype documents to production.
  • Review First Article Test (FAT) Plans, provide feedback or approval of the plans. Review FAT completed test reports. Issue FAT Flash Reports and participate in FAT failure investigations.
  • Prepare periodic reports, performance metrics and presentations describing progress and activities.
  • Perform tasks in other areas of Quality Assurance as may be assigned.


Qualifications Sought
  • 5-10 years' experience
  • Able to review drawings, GD&T, Engineering Technical Data Package
  • Working knowledge of PDFS, PSPEC, Teamcenter, and TIPQA
  • Ability to Travel to the Anniston GDLS Assembly Plant.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Ability to work within an interdependent team
  • Must be able to communicate to all levels within the organization.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
