Add to favorites Favorited View favorites Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $48,600 - Midpoint: $60,800 (Salaried E7) Department/Organization: 223102 - Nursing Instruction Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:45 pm Job Summary: The College Student Success Coordinator supports students throughout the academic year by providing academic and college coaching support. Implements systems and processes to address student success and retention and to enhance the learning experience for the college. Facilitates individual and/or group communications with assigned student populations. Develops collaborative relationships with other academic and student success/services staff to support students. Additional Department Summary: Designs, oversees and implements a comprehensive student success program to enhance the overall student experience. Coordinates various support services. Collaborates with other academic departments. Analyzes data to identify areas of improvement. Provides advising services regarding student academics or other aspects of student life to students and potential students. Acts as a liaison to the Assistant Deans and Sr. Associate Dean in student grievance matters. Maintains accurate client information and adheres to the strict confidentiality standards. Provides new student orientation and outreach services as requested. May represent the College of Nursing when in contact with faculty, administrators, staff, and the community. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs, the Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs, and the Sr. Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. The Office of Student Services reports to the Sr. Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Must adhere to all FERPA, HIPAA, and donor/alumni confidentiality standards. Contributes and subscribes to the mission of the Capstone College of Nursing at The University of Alabama. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of academic advising or student success experience; OR master's degree and some academic advising or student success experience. Skills and Knowledge: Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform decision making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, faculty, and staff. Leadership abilities to manage teams and projects effectively. highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem solving, time management, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in student development, higher education administration, counseling, or related field preferred. Proven experience in student success initiatives within a higher education setting.
