The Georgetown University Department of Biochemistry and Molecular and Cellular Biology has a rich and diverse teaching portfolio and makes contributions both to the School of Medicine curriculum as well as the curricula of multiple graduate programs housed both within and outside the department.

Our department is seeking to hire a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor on Medical Educator Track with expertise in mammalian endocrinology who will be prepared to teach medical and graduate students in their first year. This position will require in-person teaching on the Georgetown University Medical Center campus in Washington DC and the George Mason University campus in Manassas, VA. We anticipate that the portfolio of the position will expand over the next several years to include course co-directorship, teaching additional subjects central to the department's mission, and opportunities for educational scholarship. Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in Physiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related subject by the time they begin the position. Applicants who anticipate completing their degree this spring are welcome to apply. Prior teaching experience is desirable but not essential. Mentorship and professional development specifically in the area of education will be provided. Salary commensurate with experience based on the median from the most recent AAMC Faculty Salary Report.
