Financial Systems Manager

Summary:



  • Manage and support the day-to-day functional system administration of the internal systems that enable financial reporting and planning.
  • Oversee the administration of Hyperion Planning, Oracle Cloud Planning and Budgeting, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Account Reconciliation Cloud System, and the Oracle suite of applications for EmblemHealth and ACPNY.
  • Serve as finance liaison with HR on position management and manage the budgeted position listings.
  • Maintain system upgrades, quarterly changes, patches, and software changes to improve EmblemHealth's analytics and reporting capabilities.


Responsibilities:



  • Manage and oversee the budgeting process within on Premise Hyperion Planning, Essbase applications and the Planning & Budgeting Cloud System.
  • Oversee the creation of new users, maintenance of security, the data management process, data validation, creation of calculation scripts, data load rules, and report scripts.
  • Manage the relationships with internal customers to consistently improve and refine process and procedures related to Actuarial Services or Planning Analysis.
  • Oversee the loading of new rosters, creation of vendors, and data movement during all budget and forecast cycles.
  • Manage EmblemHealth's financial reporting process and oversee the creation of ad-hoc reports using Oracle Cloud Reporting Studio, Smartview and Business Intelligence tool, including Income Statements, Management, FTE Headcount Reports, Trend Analysis, and Budget Variance Reports throughout the Oracle suite of applications including
    EPM, ERP and OAC/Essbase applications.
  • Manage the implementation of best practices throughout the suite of Oracle Financial applications. This includes keeping up with changes to software, updates and patches as well as management of Oracle Cloud Analytics including the Business Intelligence application.
  • Manage and administer the Account Reconciliation Cloud System including: security, maintenance and creation of profiles, data management, reconciliation between the system and General Ledger. Manage end user support and issues.
  • Manage training and support for all Smartview end users throughout Hyperion Planning, PBCS and the General Ledger.
  • Oversee the creation of documentation, testing software updates to ensure backwards and forwards compatibility, working through resolving reporting errors, offering Smartview training sessions to all users and the training of new users on the system.
  • Manage the administration of all General Ledger hierarchies and metadata, as well as end user support for the General Ledger Cloud system Smartview tool.
  • Play a large role in departmental special projects, including managing new and ongoing departmental projects, acting in a strategic role to provide the expertise, resources, and training required to attain project goals.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of larger corporate project goals and lead the development of an attainable project plan that will capture all steps and work streams required for successfully accomplishing objectives.
  • Support headcount budgeting by overseeing and maintaining a Position Management system within Workforce Planning EH, CCI and ACPNY. Validating Hyperion data against HRIS.
  • Maintain the list of open and approved VCC positions.
  • Track headcount transfers, departures and new hires against the budget.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance or Information Systems required
  • 5-8+ years of relevant, professional experience required
  • 5-7+ years of Hyperion Planning or Oracle Cloud experience in a large corporate environment preferred
  • Strong background/experience in Hyperion system administration on the application side or in a planning or finance department required
  • Oracle/Hyperion Certification, Essbase Planning Admin. preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) required
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects with competing priority levels and deadlines required
  • Ability to function effectively as an individual contributor with minimal supervision and in a team environment required
  • Results driven with strong personal initiative, yet sensitive to a strong collegial/collaborative environment required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills required
  • In depth knowledge of PBCS, OAC, ARCS, ERP GL and the Hyperion Planning budgeting applications required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to train a wide variety of users on IT applications required
