Marketing Research Specialist

Summary of Position

* Support Marketing Intelligence team leads on initiatives to analyze business needs and manage research projects, both
primary (quantitative and qualitative) and secondary.
* Use data and research to provide meaningful insights throughout the organization that help to solve business challenges with
our audiences and drive results.

Principal Accountabilities

* Support and manage all aspects of primary market research projects, including research design, execution, and
analysis.
* Conduct traditional and online market research in-house and through third-party vendors, including focus groups,
online surveys, brand tracking, competitive analysis, social listening, and in-depth interviews.
* Lead project management for research deliverables to support project leads, including recommending research
methodologies, sourcing and managing vendor relationships for third-party research, questionnaire development,
programming surveys, QA'ing surveys, maintaining sample files, tracking survey completes, and report writing.
* Leverage secondary data, including syndicated reports, databases, and competitive intelligence, to supplement and
enhance primary market research.
* Produce competitive intelligence reports and analyses, working with internal partners to assess and refine needs.
* Share and present the data and analyses to internal partners and stakeholders.
* Support the creation of thought leadership documents, including providing relevant primary and secondary research
findings and data.
* Create research outputs using a story-based reporting approach, incorporating results into various formats (e.g., onepagers, infographics, presentations, dashboards).
* Produce timely reporting (automated and custom) that is actionable and easy to understand.

Education, Training, Licenses, Certifications

* Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, psychology, statistics, data science or related field
* Master's degree preferred

Relevant Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* 3 - 5+ years' relevant work experience, including the practical application of research methods to business contexts. (R)
* Experience in supporting or directly managing both qualitative and quantitative consumer research projects. (R)
* Experience or interest in health care. (P)
* Experience utilizing research platforms such as Qualtrics, MediaRadar's Magnifier (formerly known as Numerator), and
Competiscan. (P)
* Self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities to innovate, collaborate and realize efficiencies. (R)
* Compelling communicator who can synthesize research and data into a clear, actionable business narrative. (R)
* Excellent attention-to-detail, organization, and accountability. (R)
* Natural ability to empathize and engage with customers in a research setting. (P)
