Gemini is looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team in Cannon Falls, MN! This is a hybrid role with expectations to be on-site at least three days per week. This position is responsible for
assuring proper levels of overall support and customer service to all shipping departments/locations while attaining total customer satisfaction and efficient operations.

A day in the life of a Logistics Specialist includes:
- Manage and maintain shipping procedures for effective freight management, develop standardization, packaging solutions, and provide training opportunities as applies to all warehouse locations.
- Calculate freight quotes as requested from sales, compare quotes and invoices to ensure proper billing and accuracy.
- Analyze shipment data to develop a streamlined and effective freight quoting system.
- Develop guidelines and procedures to maximize efficiency and profitability in the international shipping process.
- Determine accurate HTS classification and documentation of exports and imports for Customs clearance. Identify other requirements to ensure timely Customs clearance.
- Collect and analyze financial data to make projections, drive strategy, and implement new logistics initiatives.
- Work effectively in a team environment with sales, plants, and other departments to streamline processes and highlight opportunities for continuous improvements overall, including cost savings plans.
- Lead the commercial relationships with strategic logistics partners.
Required Education/Experience:
- Associate's Degree is required, but a Bachelor's Degree is preferred, with 5+ years of Logistics experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to make quick and reasonable decisions in the best interest of the customer and company.
- Exceptional attention to detail, exceptional multi-tasking skills.
- Prioritize workload and be flexible to adjust based on demands and requirements.
- Exceptional skills in communication, interpersonal relationships, customer service, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a constantly changing environment with tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism.
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
