Summary:
The Manager, FP&A - Sales & Marketing will be responsible for financial analysis, management reporting, planning, and forecasting, and ad hoc analysis for Sales & Marketing departments. This role involves delivering timely, accurate and relevant financial information and insights to management. Additional responsibilities include supporting activities under the direction of the Director, FP&A


Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

Support Sales & Marketing budget managers, including:
* Serve as financial partner to leaders within the Sales & Marketing departments (e.g., heads of Marketing, Portfolio Strategy, Market Access) in the development of the annual budget and quarterly latest estimates
* Collaborate with business leaders to deliver accurate budget, forecast, and spend variance analysis for their departments, while identifying associated risks, opportunities, and action plans to address fluctuations as necessary
* Prepare and present timely and insightful financial reports used to determine progress against strategic plan, budgets, forecasts, and prior year for budget owners & C-Suite level executives
* Manage monthly accruals, account reconciliations and variance analysis for Sales & Marketing departments
* Review contracts and purchase orders to confirm appropriate approval, proper project coding and alignment with budgeted amounts
* Prepare quarterly analytics and Management's Discussion and Analysis for external filings
* Perform other duties as assigned

Support the Director, FP&A in managing activities, including reporting of monthly and quarterly actuals, forecast, annual, and long-range planning processes to the C-Suite and Board of Directors, as well as managing central FP&A functions to support the broader Finance team

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role does not supervisory responsibilities

Interaction:
This position works closely with Accounting/Finance/FP&A/AP and Procurement teams as well as senior and middle management, consultants, and vendors.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or closely related field from accredited college or university. CPA or MBA preferred
* 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, financial planning/budgeting or related area, pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Demonstrated working knowledge of US GAAP
* Highly proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial reporting software
* OneStream Software experience a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong analytical skills, business acumen and strategic thinking
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines

Work Environment:
Typical office setting, staff in cubicles, noise level is moderate with consistent printer, telephone ringing and conversation. Employee is located in a cubicle setting.

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this role in San Francisco, California is $113,000 annually to $155,000 annually.
The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
