To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• At least 5 years of experience in precision machining
• In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company's "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

As a Tool & Cutter Grinder, you will:

• Construct, alter, or repair a wide variety of cutting tools, gauges, fixtures, fixture parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
  • Cutting tools vary widely to include most types of turning, facing, recessing, forming, radius tools, special multiple diameter end mills, reamers, drills, boring tools, plain and special form milling cutters of various types.
  • Gauges include various types of depth, concentricity, alignment, and other configuration acceptance gauges.
  • Fixture grinding includes various sizes and shapes of details and complete assemblies held to precision size and inter-relationship.
• Use standard grinding machines with various set-ups and configurations of grinding wheels to produce desired results with a special emphasis placed upon size, finish, dimensional relationships, and general geometry of part produced.
• Work closely with production or other Tool Room personnel.
• Use precision measuring equipment such as optical comparator, micrometers, vernier calipers, Shadowgraph, sine plate and gauge blocks.
