Pay: $18.00 - $19.50/hour, DOE, plus full benefits

Summary/Objective

As a Window Technician you are primarily responsible for ensuring that window services and warranties are completed to the standards that 84 Lumber expects. These include but are not limited to: staging orders, prepping openings, complying with 84 Lumber's installation methods for window reglazes, screen outs, window adjustments, and job site clean-up. This position will be required to work with store personnel to achieve maximum efficiency, use 84Sales for jobsite maintenance and record-keeping, and mitigating losses to 84 Lumber through proper installation methods. They must also comply with all OSHA regulations.

Additional Competencies
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, blueprints, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use website-based scheduling systems from mobile devices.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This position involves working outdoors or being exposed to wet, humid, extremely hot or extremely cold conditions. This position may require working in a highly precarious place or near moving mechanical parts. The position may be exposed to vibrations, airborne particles or toxic chemicals. There may be a risk of electrical shock.

Physical Demands

Requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, use of hands, reaching, lifting, talking and listening. Periodically, this position climbs, balances, stoops, kneel, crouches and crawls.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work depends on hours of operations, 40 hours per week.

Travel

Local travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training

Must have valid Drivers License.

Must have clean driving record.

Must meet minimum age requirements to operate vehicle as needed.
