Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma, TN. The Senior Project Manager will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will serve in a project/construction manager role on multiple design and execution project associated with maintenance and/or capital improvements supporting the turbine engine test facilities in the Aeropropulsion Branch at Arnold AFB. To accomplish this task, the Project Manager is required to have a working knowledge of and the capability to perform the following job duties.

Job Duties:

    Plan, organize, control, and direct resources to accomplish the cost, schedule, and technical objectives of assigned projects.
  • Prepare and execute Project Plans using cost, schedule, and performance objectives, resourcing, verification and validation, and risk management.
  • Facilitate the collection of test and project requirements, objectives and customer expectations, and clearly communicate this information to project teams.
  • Interface with customers, maintainers and operators to determine project needs, develop and validate design requirements, provides design support and generate and maintain documentation of AEDC systems as required.
  • Coordinate design reviews and keeps design meeting minutes and attendance sheets.
  • Support procurement process with BNH and PK Purchasing.
  • Coordinate with teammate organizations responsible for executing tasks identified in the project plan. These include the but are not limited to user, requester, Engineering, Planners, Schedulers, Craft Supervision, Safety, Quality, Environmental, Security and Fire.
  • Perform cost and performance measurement analysis against planned and estimated scope.
  • Prepare monthly, weekly and daily progress reports and other briefings as required.
  • Act as the primary interface to AF and AF project manager for assigned projects.
  • Perform cost and performance measurement analysis against planned and estimated scope.
  • Responsible for executing assigned projects safely, with all quality attributes, on time, and within budget.
  • Ensures compliance with appropriate codes, standards, and regulations (including those for environmental work).
  • Support common work processes and procedures applicable to assigned projects.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field from an accredited university and a minimum of ten (10) years progressive and relevant experience in an engineering or related technical field or a minimum of sixteen (16) years of progressive and relevant experience in lieu of degree. Additional relevant education can be substituted for overall experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain credentials to access the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in an engineering discipline, construction management, business administration field from an accredited university.
  • Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, and other project-related activities, including their interfaces and interdependencies.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) knowledge.
  • Primavera P6 scheduling knowledge.
  • Ability to plan, organize, lead and monitor team efforts to their successful conclusion.
  • Ability to anticipate change and to adjust promptly and effectively
