Pursuit Aerospace specializes in the manufacturing of complex fabrication and precision machined components for gas turbine engines. We serve customers around the world in commercial and military aviation, power generation, the marine industry, rotary wing and unmanned aerial vehicles.

General Summary:

An Assembler is responsible for the precision assembly of aerospace components to customer specifications while adhering to specific quality, production, and scheduling requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Assembler will be involved in all aspects of the manufacturing process and will assemble products using drawings and engineering specifications (written in English) or work instructions. Work with the Cell Leader and engineers on assembly related issues and may work in cells assembling sub assemblies. Perform moderate and complex assembly work. Read and interpret engineering instructions, travelers, etc. proficiently and possess good verbal and written communication skills, as well as, good math skills. Read and interpret blue prints and be familiar with geometric tolerances and principles. Must have good interpersonal skills and work well with colleagues, supervision and management. Must be open to performing routine maintenance on assigned equipment and alert maintenance personnel and/or supervisor of malfunctions. Develop unique ways to more effectively use tools and equipment to resolve ongoing and unusual problems that cause production bottlenecks.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  1. Working knowledge of engineering specifications, instructions, and operation sheets.
  2. Strong mechanical ability and manual dexterity.
  3. Considerable ability to use a variety of hand and pneumatic tools.
  4. Knowledgeable of in process inspection techniques, standards, and requirements. Able to use and interpret precision measuring devises such as micrometers, verniers, and various hand tools, i.e., gages to verify the accuracy of dimensional characteristics of components.
  5. Able to use fine motor skills to manipulate small tools and perform meticulous work to close tolerances.
  6. Knowledge of metal characteristics in a production setting is desirable.

Education & Experience Required:

  1. A high school diploma or GED.
  2. Possess three (3) to five (5) years of mechanical assembly of complex products in an aerospace manufacturing environment or similar environment.
  3. Capable of proficiently performing the essential duties.
  4. Fully capable of reading, understanding, and following written and oral work instructions in English.
  5. Ability to lift or transfer components or objects of no more than 30 pounds.
  6. Observe company policies, rules and regulations, i.e., conform to safe work practices; adhere to proper manufacturing protocols; meet customer specifications, and quality requirements.
