Title: PLM Systems Admin Compensation: $60-80.00/hour (depends on experience level) Type: Full Time Industry: Autonomous Technology
Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain CAD-related solutions across various tiers such as web, enterprise, database, FMS, and security services in a production environment.
- Manage Siemens and Dassault Systems PLM systems, such as: Teamcenter, NX, and Solidworks.
- Monitor and enhance the PLM production environment to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement and maintain PLM test environments, focusing on improving environment spin-up and refresh processes to support production.
- Facilitate the deployment of new CAD tools and features, including BMIDE updates and customizations, while minimizing downtime during scheduled maintenance windows.
- Provide daily support and training to CAD engineering users, promptly addressing and troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other administrators to integrate PLM with systems like ERP, MES, and other data systems.
- Stay updated with the latest PLM features by coordinating with vendors and third-party service providers to equip engineering teams with the best capabilities.
- Support the IT Infrastructure team in its daily operations and mission to support the organization.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in installing, developing, implementing, upgrading, and maintaining engineering systems, such as: PLM, CAD, CAE, SysML, particularly Siemens and Dassault Systems.
- 4+ years of experience with administering Windows and Linux server and desktop operating systems.
- Working knowledge of VMWare and/or Azure public cloud.
- Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve end-user and infrastructure-related issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with cloud middleware and data management, as well as containerization and cluster orchestration and large-scale data stores.
- Experience supporting applications and systems in production and test environments, preferably for a software development and/or manufacturing company (preferred).
- In-depth experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration, Active Directory, SQL Server, and Azure environments is preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of at least one type of virtualization platform such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM (preferred).
- Experience with Agile project management is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
