The role of the Corporate Events Program Manager involves planning and implementing Bio-Rad's corporate-sponsored employee engagement and community outreach events in the Northern California area. This includes making event recommendations, managing event budgets, developing event project plans, and acting as the producer of each event. The Program Manager facilitates involvement of executives and other employees at the events, orchestrates each event, engages with employees at all levels of the organization, and shows impeccable judgment and attention to detail.

Overall, the Corporate Events Program Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing employee morale, strengthening community ties, and promoting Bio-Rad's brand and values.



  1. Employee Engagement: By planning and executing various internal and community events, the Corporate Events Program Manager fosters a sense of community and engagement among employees. This may include large events like Bio-Rad employee fairs and large company events, as well as smaller events such as retirement parties and team-level holiday parties.
  2. Community Outreach: The role involves organizing and implementing events that connect Bio-Rad with the local community, such as science fairs and educational programs. This helps maintain strong relationships with local schools and higher education institutions.
  3. Brand Awareness: Partnering with the HR Branding and Communication team to organize marketing materials and campaigns for events raises awareness of Bio-Rad's initiatives and enhances the company's brand.
  4. Budget Management: The Corporate Events Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the annual event budget, ensuring that costs do not exceed the allocated budget, and negotiating favorable terms with vendors.
  5. Support for Give Back Initiatives: The role supports Bio-Rad's initiatives in the education, scientific, and local communities, furthering the company's commitment to social responsibility.


What You Bring:

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred in public relations, Event Marketing, Communication, or other relevant field.

Work Experience:



  • 5+ years of proven experience producing and managing corporate and community related events.
  • 3+ years project management experience
  • Prior Life Sciences Organization experience a plus (but not required).

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $144,500 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
