At MU Energy Management, we power the future! We are responsible for producing, purchasing, and delivering vital utility services across the University of Missouri campus. Our advanced district energy system, centered around the state-of-the-art Combined Cooling, Heating, and Power Plant (CCHP), generates steam, chilled water, and electricity to heat, cool, and energize over 17 million square feet of academic, research, athletic, and healthcare buildings. Beyond powering the campus, we also install and manage cutting-edge building automation systems that optimize energy consumption across the university. Our mission is to provide cost-effective, reliable, and resilient utility services that empower the University to excel in its academic and research goals. Perform skilled work on a journeyman level in the installation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of pneumatic, electric, electronic, and direct digital control (DDC) heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) on control systems. All work is subject to spot checking and inspection for conformance to specifications and accepted standards of the trade. Personnel working in this classification will be allowed to remain in the position up to four years at which time they must have successfully completed the necessary requirements to move into the Building Controls Systems Technician II classification or higher. If the incumbent is unable to successfully complete the training within four years, progressive discipline, with appropriate time extensions, will be initiated. Key Responsibilities:

* A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial HVAC systems and controls. Must possess a valid driver's license, which will allow legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri. Anticipated Hiring Range
