Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma/GED.
    • Two (2) years of experience in various disciplines of construction, building maintenance, vehicle maintenance, event logistics and operations or Public Safety service.
  • Licenses or Certifications
    • If assigned to Parks & Recreation: Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida Driver's License within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates projects for skilled trades work in the areas of mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, City events, community event support or related.
  • Coordinates the department inventory and makes recommendations for proper utilization within the department.
  • Centralizes control of apparatus, vehicles, tools, equipment, and supplies in the acquisition or disposition cycle.
  • Performs purchasing related to the repairs of apparatus, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Evaluate all required or requested repairs and suggest whether to proceed with the repair, delay the repair, or defer the repair altogether as the situation dictates.
