Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microsoft Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team and participate in working support tickets, changes and other requests company wide. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise Microsoft Cloud and On-Prem Administration. The overall objectives of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Role and Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

  • Be a driver for the organization: Drive technology adoption across the organization for all technology and business-related programs
  • Identify challenges, provide solutions, and implement measures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Help drive/maintain operational dashboards and management tools to monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Act as an escalation point for all critical issues and provide comprehensive and timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Ensure proactive monitoring/compliance of all respective tech solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Azure Services

  • Implement, and maintain Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
  • Implement and maintain Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and other identity and access management services.
  • Implement, and maintain Azure App and Enterprise Registration
  • Implement, and maintain new MFA technologies and Conditional Access Policies
  • Setting up and managing Azure Application Insights; coordinate with business to optimize application performance.

VM Server Services:

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of Windows Server and VMware environment issues.
  • Manage and support Linux operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor and maintain infrastructure performance using ScienceLogic or similar monitoring tools.

Support Services:

  • Leverage ServiceNow for ticket management, workflow automation, and reporting.
  • Document processes, procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in a 24/7, on-call rotation for incident response escalation within response and on-site Service Level Agreements (SLA)

Training and Documentation:

  • Provide training sessions to end-users on Azure features and best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation for Azure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with IT teams, department heads, and end-users to understand collaboration needs.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on Operation projects.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience (relevant certifications are a plus)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience within the technology space
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure Administration, with a focus on Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, and other identity and access management services.
  • Advanced PowerShell experience for configuration and automation of Azure.
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance considerations in Azure.
  • Expert in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Azure.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and their application in collaboration platforms.
  • Knowledge of Azure AI services and integration capabilities.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and managing Windows Servers and VMware environments.
  • Expert Knowledge of O365 Administration
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems preferred
