Job Title: Quote Analyst Job Purpose: The Quote Analyst will be responsible for the preparation and coordination of Request for Quotations (RFQ's) for printed circuit boards based on quote requirements received from various departments within the organization (i.e. Program Management, Sales). This person will analyze quotations for content in addition to preparing complete costs analysis. They will work to define needs, and clarify discrepancies. This person will monitor RFQ through process and resolve issues that come up and complete costing information including generation of BOM's, identifying exceptions and assumptions, and identifying and documenting all unique costs and issues. They will interface with sales and customers to resolve issues. At the highest level, this person may also be responsible for watching technology trends and preparing cost reduction and other recommendations based on those trends. Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for the preparation and coordination of Request for Quotations (RFQ's) for materials components, subassemblies and/or services based on quote requirements received from various departments within the organization (i.e. Program Management, Sales). Analyzes quotations for content in addition to preparing complete costs analyses. Defines needs, clarifies discrepancies and determines the structure of BOM. Monitor RFQ through process and resolve issues that come up. Complete costing information including generation of costed BOM's, identifying exceptions and assumptions, and identifying and documenting all unique costs and issues. Responsible for supplier selection, make/buy decisions, interfacing with sales and customer to resolve issues. At the highest level, may also be responsible for watching technology trends and preparing cost reduction and other recommendations based on those trends. Education and Experience: -Bachelor's degree, preferably in technical discipline or related field of study -Minimum of 5 years Cost Estimating/Quoting Experience in electronic components, pcb, machinery and sheet metal parts - Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. - Ability to Interpret an extensive variety of information in technical, mathematical, and diagrammatic and database application forms. - Ability to compute P & L, calculate markup, and determine selling price. - Advanced PC skills, expanded abilities in use of spreadsheet & database applications preferred, specifically, Microsoft Excel. - Be able to create spreadsheets, vlookups, pivot tables - Detail oriented self-starter, able to work in a very fast-paced & dynamic environment. - Manufacturing facility background, or understanding of Turnkey/Consignment and EMS experience preferred. -Work independently -Multitask Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity Salary Range(annual): $82,000 - $90,000 . Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
