The University of Virginia's Information Technology Services (ITS) seeks an experienced systems administrator for a position in our Storage, Backup, and Archive team. Commensurate with the candidate's experience, the role will be filled at the respective level that best matches the candidate's qualifications. In this role, you will support, maintain, and automate a variety of enterprise class storage systems deployed at UVA for departments across the University. Working alongside a team of experienced engineers, you will collaborate closely with internal and external partners to provide technical guidance, optimize deployment processes, develop best practices, and ensure efficient, secure, and high-quality IT services. The ideal candidate has in-depth experience with Linux systems, skill with enterprise storage systems, experience supporting a diverse user base, excellent communication and troubleshooting skills, and a sincere commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
