SUMMARY:

The Strategic Planning Specialist will assist with managing inventory for all business units within the SNF Inc. scope. They will be responsible for order fulfillment, raw material forecasting, and associated processes for these operations, which include planning finished goods, intermediates, raw materials, and packaging needs. They work closely with various teams, such as production, inventory, and procurement, to ensure that materials and resources are available to meet production goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Managed demand planning and inventory levels for several product lines through various systems (D365, OMNIS).
  • Coordinate with procurement to perform raw material transfers and enter requisitions for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills and communicate with stakeholders at all levels around complex situations
  • Development and deployment of visual metrics within the group.
  • Accountable for capacity/utilization planning and alignment with the production model.
  • Develop procedures and tools that will allow for more efficient data capture and real-time tracking of demand planning and inventory levels.
  • Interpret forecasted demand, assess requirements, and identify solutions to non-standard requests.
  • Compliance with all policies and standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's in science/supply chain preferred or related field.
  • 1-3 years of planning/scheduling supply chain activities or operations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of OMNIS/D365 or other MRP planning systems.
  • Ability to support remote workgroups.
  • Ability to interface with senior management.
  • Complex problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Effective written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct supervisory/hierarchical control.
  • Consensus builder.
  • Systems thinker.
