Genesis10 is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer for our client in the Financial Services Industry. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located in Dallas, TX. 75201

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our organization's cloud, data center, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, security protocols, and cloud integration, with a proven track record of designing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align IT architecture with business objectives while ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud, data center, and network solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Develop and maintain network standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry's best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Deploy and configure cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, serverless functions, and databases.
  • Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis to ensure optimal resource utilization, high availability, and redundancy.
  • Implement auto-scaling, load balancing, and other optimization strategies to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance infrastructure performance, security, and efficiency.
  • Lead the planning, deployment, and integration of network solutions, including LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi Access Points, and cloud-based networking.
  • Deploy and configure cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, serverless functions, and databases across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Migrate on-premises applications and workloads to cloud platforms using native migration tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement preventive measures.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in networking and cybersecurity.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Expertise in cloud services, virtual machines, physical server hardware, storage appliances, containers, serverless functions, and databases.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware configuration and design best practice.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Expertise in network security principles, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and zero-trust architectures.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and change management processes.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Relevant technology certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in industries with high regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPPA, GDPR, finance, etc.).
