About the Team

Are you passionate about our products and the role of Visual Merchandising to contribute to the overall product experience for the customer? Based in San Francisco, the Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen Visual Team is responsible for creating compelling seasonal floor sets in partnership with cross functional merchant partners, while maximizing retails sales and supporting our brands big bets. It is our job to attract and retain customers by delivering an outstanding and engaging customer experience through visual merchandising. We want to draw customers into our Pottery Barn Kids & Teen retail stores by having innovative displays that inspire and catch the attention of our customers.

About the Role

This position reports to the Visual Merchandising Manager of Graphics and is part of the Visual Merchandising department. You will be responsible for creating and producing all visual communications directed to the field and assisting the Visual Merchandising Manager with additional graphic based projects as needed. You will partner with our team and cross functional teams to own the production of all communications, participate in visual floorsets, mock store set-ups and special projects.

Responsibilities



  • Design and write copy for kids' and teen visual books, submit proofs and coordinate edits with merchant teams and print production.
  • Compile weekly visual memos from visual team requests, create mockups, and coordinate with store operations and field teams.
  • Pull and maintain seasonal frame inserts, manage archives, and coordinate printing and shipment to stores.
  • Update and create seasonal retail floorplans for internal meetings and store setups.
  • Design and produce presentation decks for baby fairs, retail floorsets, licensor approvals, and internal communication.
  • Create vector illustrations and Photoshop mockups for floor set projects and in-store events.
  • Develop spec sheets and manage the creation and distribution of retail graphic props.
  • Organize and archive setup photos, edit images, and distribute Lightroom albums to teams.
  • Assist with signage projects, including edits of seasonal core sigange, promotional signage production, and store-specific requests.
  • Support in-house signage and marketing production, including hangtags, headers, and boards for internal meetings.


Criteria



  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
  • Strong knowledge of typography, layout design, and color theory.
  • Ability to create vector illustrations and photo mockups.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a high quality of work, especially under tight deadlines.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects with precision, manage timelines and maintain high standards for quality and consistency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and field partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to archive and retrieve design files, images, and assets efficiently.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and taking feedback to improve designs, while also showing initiative in self-directed tasks.
  • This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday and Friday as optional in the office.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $23.85 - $26.83 hourly. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
