SMS has an immediate opening for an Information Technology Asset Inventory Management Specialist on our Cryptologic and Cyber Division (CCSD) Security team at our Lackland Air Force Base site in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities

Experience in providing knowledge, techniques and/or capabilities related to IT Asset Inventory Management. Candidate will support the IT Asset Inventory Management for the CCSD program. Candidate must also have experience in managing IT or IA related projects that require documentation and coordination across multiple customers.

Essential Job Functions:

    IT Equipment Control.
  • End user equipment configurations utilizing Air Force Standard Desktop Configurations (SDC).
  • Distribution of IT assets to the appropriate IT Equipment Custodians (ITECs).
  • Provide PWCS management and Unit Software License Manager (USLM) services.
  • Central function for all computer, printer and peripheral equipment configuration.
  • Builds as outlined to support CCSD systems.
    • Personal Computer (PC).
    • Monitors,
    • KVM's.
    • Multi-Function Devices and PEDs.
  • Maintain accountability of all equipment as outlined in AF and local OI's.
    • Document all adds, moves and changes within the appropriate database after coordination with the Government Equipment Custodian Officer.
  • Test and validate SDC loads to ensure PC is in working condition for the end user.
  • Assist with purchasing and planning for PC's, KVM's, monitors, keyboards, switches utilizing AFWAY ordering system.
  • Electrostatic Discharge Equipment -Maintain Electrostatic Discharge workbench and use it as required to perform maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance of workbench in accordance with AF T.O. 00-25-234, chapter 7.
  • Provide configuration and management oversight of TCO/PWCS programs


Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess refined critical thinking skills, should be a self-starter, may direct the activities of other team members, diplomatic, multi-task capable, adaptive to a dynamic
  • Two to three years of progressively responsible IT consulting experience including desk top support. Candidates should have technical experience in some of the following areas: network infrastructure (Cisco), Microsoft Windows Server 2K3/2K8, or database (Oracle/MS SQL 2005+).
  • Individual must have high degree of skills with the MS Office toolsets.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE Certification is required
  • Must hold current TS/SCI clearance or Top Secret with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
