We are searching for a talented Advanced practitioner for Urgent Care.

Hours: 33 hours M-F 8A - 8:30P / S-S 9A - 5:30P

Shift: Day/Evening- weekend/holiday rotation, every other holiday, every other weekend

Location: Fall River, MA

• Under direction of individually assigned Physician, Office Manager or Designee, perform a wide variety of patient care and related duties both within and in support of Southcoast Physicians Group.
• Including, but not limited to taking patient histories, conduct physical exams, review past medical records, complete electronic health records, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies; explain necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient and family; perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; review results of studies and procedures and interpret results toward quality patient care.

• Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants within one year of hire is required.
• Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required or immediately pending. Current MA or RI R.N. registration is required.
• Over 3 months experience.
• NP Nursing License authorization to practice in an expanded role.
• CME requirements as needed.
• PA Physician Assistant License authorization to practice.
• CME requirements as needed.
