BASIC FUNCTION:
The Hydro Treating Unit Superintendent is responsible for the immediate operation of the Hydro Treating, Utilities and Raw Materials Unloading process units. This position maintains safety and quality standards while optimizing production efficiency and will also facilitate work teams to maintain continuous operations and production in desired quantity and quality. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline is required. REQUIRED SKILLS:
SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises operations bargaining unit employees as well as salaried administrative employees and Unit Supervisors to perform work safely, efficiently and to a quality standard during a 24/7 workweek. WORK CONDITIONS:
Office and plant based with up to 10% travel required. Subject to varying weather conditions and required to work in all temperatures, including outdoors. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs., climbing up to 200 ft, perceive color differences, required to wear personal protective equipment as needed and a respirator in emergency situations (beards are not permitted).Depending on location must satisfactorily complete a comprehensive medical physical examination.
