Buyer/Planner - Omniseal - Garden Grove, CA

The Buyer/Planner is responsible for supporting the Garden Grove site in procurement of all materials required to complete fabrication and assembly in accordance with due dates driven by the Master Schedule and Production site demands.

Buyer/planner2 is highly transactional role that involves a large volume of individual transactions happening rapidly, typically requiring fast processing times and high responsiveness, often associated with real-time data updates and processes management like purchase orders, inventory updates, or delivery confirmation interactions within our ERP system "QAD".

The Buyer/planner will be responsible for ordering parts, services and products for the sites and supervising delivery on time. The Buyer/planner will assure compliance with the internal control rules.

The Buyer/planner will obtain commercial terms from the Senior buyer, central buyers and the purchasing manager.

Review MRP requirements and issues purchase orders as required for raw materials and services necessary to support the Master Schedule.

Is this job for you ?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or other related field required.
  • 2+ years experience in a Experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of production planning, master scheduling and production scheduling theories. Understanding of JIT, MRP systems, BOM's, routings and planning parameters is essential as is experience in supplier development, purchasing and maintaining proper inventory.
  • Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Excel and familiarity with MRP/ERP software systems is necessary. Excellent analytical and negotiating skills, combined with good oral and written communication skills, and excellent organization, planning, purchasing and follow up skills will lead to success at this position. Ability to download, analyze and manipulate large amounts of data.

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $63,000 to $95,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 8% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $686,040 to $102,600. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
