Job Summary:

Under the direction of the IT Manager, the IT Administrator will oversee and optimize the security and infrastructure of a complex, multi-network, multi-location Windows-based IT environment supporting over 4,000 user accounts. This role requires advanced technical skills balanced with strategic leadership, a deep commitment to cybersecurity, and proven experience in infrastructure management. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the organization's ISO 27001 compliance journey, proactively enhancing the security posture, and collaborating with a highly technical, skilled team of IT professionals. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain and enforce adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures within the IT department. Monitor, manage, and optimize IT inventory, including hardware, software, and related assets. Maintain accurate records and work to prevent overstock or shortages. Act as a point of contact for end-user support, ensuring devices are prepared and maintained. Support and collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth operations. Review work for quality and accuracy, ensuring that IT solutions and services meet the organization's standards. Support various hardware including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, copiers, and network equipment. Core Responsibilities: Technical & Infrastructure Management: Administer and optimize Windows domains and networks across multiple locations, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability. Install, configure, and maintain servers, desktops, laptops, Cisco networking equipment, and peripheral hardware. Conducted comprehensive network troubleshooting and swiftly resolved infrastructure-related incidents to ensure seamless operations. Manage and monitor backup processes, disaster recovery procedures, and business continuity planning. Provide initial Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support and problem resolution for end-users during onboarding. Occasionally travel to support remote sites and be available for after-hours support as needed. Security Oversight & ISO 27001 Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security tooling (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanning solutions) across the infrastructure. Lead ISO 27001 certification efforts, including risk assessments, policy development, documentation, and audit coordination within the first 6 months (timeline flexible based on candidate input). Continuously identify vulnerabilities, implement remediation strategies, and maintain security hygiene. Coordinate and deliver ongoing security awareness and compliance training initiatives. Leadership & Strategic Initiatives: Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to a highly skilled team of 12 IT professionals. Serve as a critical escalation point for infrastructure and security-related issues, demonstrating superior crisis management and decision-making capabilities. Regularly communicate the organization's security posture and infrastructure health to senior management. Collaborate cross-functionally, ensuring IT security considerations are integrated into all business operations. Act as backup to the IT Manager as required. Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Required Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, with expertise managing large Windows-based environments, Microsoft Azure, and hybrid infrastructure setups. Demonstrated proficiency in Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, network infrastructure (Cisco), virtualization, and cloud technologies. Direct experience leading or significantly contributing to compliance frameworks (ISO 27001 preferred, NIST, SOC 2, etc.). Min USD $80,000.00/Yr. Max USD $120,000.00/Yr.

Preferred Certifications (one or more of the following): CISSP, CEH, CISM, Security+, CCNA, MCSE, or related domain administration/security certifications are highly desirable. Desired Skills & Attributes: Strong crisis management and adaptability skills, able to manage critical incidents with composure and strategic thinking. Exceptional leadership qualities with a track record of mentoring highly technical teams. Ability to translate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders. A collaborative and proactive mindset, driven to continually enhance security posture and infrastructure performance.
