Job Title: US Tax Manager

Division: Finance / Tax

Location: West Hartford, CT (hybrid - 2 days a week in the office)

Key Relationships: US Finance team, IRS, Tax Advisors and Auditors.

Job Summary:

The Beazley tax function is currently 10 people, comprised of the group head of tax, an indirect tax manager, three direct tax managers, an employment tax manager and two tax accountants / assistants. This role is the first tax role outside the UK and will be to help manage our US tax compliance and reporting obligations. It will involve working closely with the US finance team, primarily based in West Hartford. There is flexibility around the exact requirements of the role depending on how the strengths of the candidate fit within the existing team. Beazley has a global tax engagement with Deloitte who prepare and submit all our tax returns as well as support around tax reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee submission of corporation income tax returns for the group in the US.
  • US Tax reporting for entity and consolidated financial statements.
  • Tax planning and advisory work as needed.
  • Ad hoc tax or accounting tasks.
  • To comply with relevant Beazley procedures and policies.

Salary for this role will be tailored to the successful individual's location and experience. The expected compensation range for this position is $120,000-$140,000 per year plus discretionary annual bonus.
